What Delhi NCR students should know

01

A crowded advisory market worth navigating carefully

Delhi NCR has no shortage of consultants. The questions worth asking any of them are the same: who charges you, who actually decides your loan, and what support continues after sanction. We charge students nothing, and every credit decision sits with the lender.

02

A wide destination mix

NCR students spread across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe in fairly even measure. Because funding considerations differ by country, comparing destinations with the loan in mind — not after choosing — often changes the shortlist.

03

Documentation quality decides the timeline

Most delays trace back to paperwork that was incomplete or inconsistent at submission. Preparing documents to lender standard before review is the practical difference between a straightforward sanction and weeks of back-and-forth.

Plan the loan with the full picture

Each state page carries a stronger visual set: documents, EMI planning, lender comparison and destination funding.

How we help

Loan comparison

We compare options across our bank and NBFC partners against your amount, destination and co-applicant profile — rather than routing everyone to the same lender.

Documentation support

Most delays come from paperwork. We prepare your file to lender standard before it goes in, which is the single biggest factor in how quickly it moves.

Application handling

We submit and follow up with the lender on your behalf, and keep you updated at each stage rather than leaving you to chase.

Post-sanction help

Sanction is not the finish line. We assist with disbursement tracking and the steps that follow, through to your fees being paid.

Fund Abroad is not a lender. We prepare and route applications to RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs; every sanction decision, interest rate and repayment term is set by the lending institution.

Planning ahead: the 2027–28 admissions cycle

If you are applying from Delhi NCR for a Fall 2027 or later intake, a few things changed in 2026 that are worth building into your plan now rather than discovering them at the visa stage.

UK maintenance funds rose on 30 November 2026

Students applying for a UK visa now need to show £1,570 a month in London or £1,203 outside it, for up to nine months — up from the previous figures. Size the loan on the new numbers, not the old ones.

Canada’s living-cost proof is now CAD 23,448

For study permit applications from 1 September 2026, a single applicant must show CAD 23,448 in living costs on top of tuition and travel — many families fund this through a GIC from the loan disbursement.

The UK Graduate Route is now 18 months

For applications submitted from 1 January 2027, the post-study work visa runs 18 months rather than two years (PhD graduates keep three). It is worth weighing against Canada’s three-year PGWP for master’s graduates.

Fall 2027 deadlines start as early as November 2026

US Early Decision closes 1 November 2026, UCAS’s Oxbridge deadline is 15 October 2026, and most US master’s programmes close between December 2026 and January 2027. A loan assessment should start alongside the application, not after the offer.

Looking further out, most lenders are expected to keep rates broadly stable into 2028 barring a Reserve Bank rate move, and PM Vidyalaxmi’s coverage remains limited to identified Indian institutions rather than universities abroad. We track these changes and factor them into every funding plan we build.

How the process works

  1. Free consultationTell us your course, destination and how much you need. No charge, no obligation.
  2. Profile assessmentWe review your academic background and co-applicant details to identify which routes realistically fit.
  3. Lender matchingWe shortlist suitable banks and NBFCs and set out the trade-offs so you can compare properly.
  4. Document preparationWe help you assemble a complete, consistent file before it reaches the lender.
  5. Submission & follow-upWe submit, track progress and keep you informed until a decision is made.
  6. Disbursement supportAfter sanction we help with disbursement so your fees reach the university on schedule.

Documents lenders typically ask for

Exact requirements vary by lender and by whether the loan is secured or unsecured, but most applications from Delhi NCR move through the same four document groups. Getting these right the first time is the single biggest factor in how quickly a file moves.

01

Identity & academic

PAN, Aadhaar and address proof for applicant and co-applicant; 10th, 12th and degree mark sheets; the university admission or offer letter; English test scores where required.

02

Co-applicant income

Salaried: last 3 months’ payslips, Form 16 and 6 months’ bank statements. Self-employed: 2–3 years’ ITRs with computation, business registration or GST proof, and 12 months’ bank statements.

03

Collateral, where applicable

Property title documents, an approved valuation, and consent from every co-owner if held jointly. Not every loan needs this — many unsecured routes skip it entirely for recognised universities.

04

Cost & visa paperwork

The university’s fee schedule or cost-of-attendance letter, and later the I-20, CAS, CoE or study permit application, which the sanction letter is timed to support.

We check every document against the specific lender’s checklist before it is submitted — incomplete or inconsistent paperwork, not eligibility, is the most common reason a straightforward file gets delayed.

On timelines: with a complete file, NBFCs typically issue a sanction letter in three to five working days, and public-sector banks in seven to twenty, depending on the branch and whether collateral needs a physical valuation. Add a few days if documents need translation, notarisation, or a co-owner’s signature from another city. None of this is unusual — it is simply why starting the assessment alongside your application, rather than after the offer arrives, is what keeps a sanction letter ready when the university or consulate actually asks for it.

Common reasons an application gets delayed or declined

Incomplete or inconsistent documents

Names that do not match across documents, missing pages, or income figures that do not reconcile between ITRs and bank statements. This is the single most common cause of delay, and it is entirely avoidable.

Weak co-applicant credit history

A low CIBIL score or existing high-value EMIs reduce what a lender will sanction, or push the file towards a secured route. Checking this before you apply avoids a wasted submission.

University or course outside a lender’s list

Unsecured limits are usually tied to a lender’s own list of recognised universities. Off that list, the same profile may need collateral even though nothing else about the application has changed.

Collateral issues discovered late

Agricultural land excluded by the lender, title disputes, or missing consent from a co-owner — all solvable, but only if they are checked in the first conversation rather than after a rejection.

We review your file against the likely lender’s criteria before submission specifically to catch these before they cost you time.

Frequently asked questions — Delhi NCR

Do you have an office in Delhi or Gurugram?

No. Our office is in Hyderabad and we support Delhi NCR students digitally — counselling, document preparation and lender coordination run remotely, so nothing requires you to travel.

What makes you different from other consultants in NCR?

Two things worth checking against anyone you speak to: we charge students no service fee, and we are not a lender or broker — we prepare and route applications, while banks and NBFCs make every decision. Our disclosures on fees and responsibilities are published, not verbal.

Which documents should I prepare first?

Typically your admission letter, academic records, identity and address proof, and co-applicant income proof. Requirements vary by lender, and we help you assemble the right set for the route you are taking.

Can you help before I have chosen a country?

Yes. Funding differs meaningfully between destinations, so comparing them with the loan in mind is a sensible step before you finalise applications.

What happens after the loan is sanctioned?

We assist with post-sanction updates and disbursement tracking. Disbursement schedules are set by the lender, and we help you stay on top of what is due and when.
